Following the launch of the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise, 3E and 3T drone platforms, DJI has announced their final drone in their Enterprise Series for 2022. The DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral or Mavic 3M, has been announced and is equipped with a multispectral imaging system geared towards agricultural and forestry use cases.
With the new multispectral imaging system to gather data, operators can collect better information using the onboard RGB camera with a 4/3-inch CMOS and 20MP image sensor, four-lens multispectral camera to provide insights of plant data that the human eye cannot detect, while weighing in at only 951 grams with up to 43 minutes of flight time.
The DJI Mavic 3M, like its relatives in the Enterprise Series, have access to DJI’s open ecosystem through the Cloud API. Cloud API allows for the Mavic 3M to be directly connected to third party platforms via Pilot 2’s built-in DJI Cloud API based on the MQTT protocol. Along with the Mavic 3M supporting Mobile SDK 5 (MSDK5) opening up the ability to develop proprietary applications for the Mavic 3 Enterprise series, expanding possibilities and making it more user-friendly.
