Learn how to use the calibration panel and increase the accuracy of collected data.

Process #

The calibration panel is used in processing to eliminate the need for a perfect camera calibration and increases the accuracy of data. Each system is provided with a calibration panel, this panel is placed inside of the flight area. The panel can be used as a takeoff and landing pad as well, make sure to secure the panel to the ground with nails.

1. Once the Phantom has been powered on, position the aircrafts camera directly over the X on the panel.
2. Take a photo, do this either at the beginning or ending of your flight. This will be used in the processing process to calibrate your data.
3. Once the calibration panel photo has been taken. You are clear to fly or land.
